Maitreya and Yellow Tara
Lama Zopa Rinpoche previously advises the Centre to purchase 2 large statues, Maitreya ad Yellow Tara, to help us achieve success in our endeavours and to eliminate poverty – both financially and resources. These will be and are very large statues – 2 times and 3 times life size respectively – quotes were sourced from Mongolia and Nepal, home to artisans experienced in building such magnificent statues.
The Yellow Tara statue is a result of these efforts. Bertrand Cayla, a French sculptor, was commissioned for the project. The statue arrived at Kunsang Yeshe and following resources gathering and painting by Gyatso, the statue was assembled and installed.
