Death is a subject most people do not want to discuss. Learning about death and dying gives us an opportunity to gain insights into what is really important and develop faith and commitment to our spiritual path.

Explore this topic with Venerable Chokyi over three weeks as she explains the Buddhist perspective, how to prepare for death, the stages of death and how to help someone who is dying.

Venerable Chokyi has been a Dharma student since 1990 and was ordained with Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche in 2006.

After ordination, Venerable Chokyi was Spiritual Program Coordinator at Vajrayana Institute, Sydney for 10 years. In 2018 she was appointed the resident western teacher at Chenrezig Institute, an FPMT Centre in Queensland. She is currently based at Hayagriva Centre, Perth.

Venerable Chokyi is a much-loved mentor to students, known for her great depth of wisdom, good humour and warm heartedness.
