
These two sessions provide a friendly, informal opportunity to find out about key aspects of Buddhism. They are suited for people who are curious and interested in Buddhist teachings, as well as those who want to refresh their connection with Buddhism. The sessions will include information, discussion and simple practice to relate experience with the knowledge.
Each session is standalone but different, so you can attend one or both.

Location: In-person at Kunsang Yeshe Retreat Centre, 116 Bathurst Rd Katoomba.
Cost: Member/non-member $15 / $20 per session or Member/non-member $25 / $35 for both.
About the Teacher – Laurel Acton

Laurel met the Dharma in 2006 after meditating regularly since 1981. She has found Buddhist knowledge and Buddhist tools for life of great personal benefit to her. Laurel volunteers at the Centre in a number of capacities. Having undertaken the global Facilitator Training for the BMS course, Laurel looks forward to presenting knowledge and exploring ideas with the participants in a stimulating way.
In her teaching career, Laurel has taught students of all ages, mainly in the field of English as a Second Language. She has a doctorate in education and is currently teaching a Masters course at the University of Technology, Sydney.
