
The Medicine Buddha is also known as King of Lapis Lazuli. Lapis is deep blue in colour and is a healing stone.
The purpose of the Medicine Buddha practice is to heal physical, mental and emotional pain and distress. On an inner level it can help us overcome the three poisons of attachment, aversion and ignorance.
During this three day retreat we will recite the Medicine Buddha Sadhana which includes visualisations and mantra recitations.
The retreat will also include teachings on the three poisons and Bodhicitta.
The retreat is open to everyone. You may attend for the entire retreat or individual days. The Retreat is non-residential and is available in person and online.

Cost: 3 day Retreat $150/$135 non-member/member ; 1 day $50/$45 non-member/member respectively.

About the Teacher – Geshe Sherab

We welcome Geshe Sherab, renowned scholar and teacher to our Centre in the Mountains.
Geshela first trained at Kopan Monastery in Nepal. He later completed his Geshe studies at the famous Sera Je monastery in South India, followed by a year at Gyumed Tantric College. Most recently Geshela resided at a Dharma Centre in New Mexico but has also travelled the world to teach.
Geshela has a unique gift of presenting often complex Buddhist topics in a simple, warm and accessible manner. He has much experience with Western students, which helps him to explain Dharma to us in a practical and applicable way.
Geshela plans to enter long term retreat in the near future so this will be his last teaching at Kunsang Yeshe for some time.
We apologise, however tickets are no longer available for Day 1 of the retreat. This also means that Full Retreat bookings are not possible. There remains availability for Day 2 and Day 3.
