Discover the timeless art of Tibetan Medicine, an ancient healing practice with a rich history dating back 4,000 years. In Pema’s informative talk, he will explain traditional Tibetan healing principles and health practices as they are applied to illnesses, diagnosis and treatment.
You will learn about the unique blend of ancient wisdom and modern science in Tibetan Medicine, including its historical roots and cultural nuances. From this session, you will gain practical knowledge for maintaining well-being through simple diet and daily behavioural practices which can be used in your daily life.
After his talk, Pema will be happy to answer questions related to Tibetan medicine.

Menpa Pema Gyaltsen
Pema was born in Tibet and raised in India, where he studied Tibetan medicine for six years at the prestigious Men Tsee Khang (Tibetan Medical and Astro Institution). In Australia, he has completed a Diploma in Remedial Massage to add to his extensive knowledge and skillset. Pema has been a full time teacher for Tibetan students and a resource person for non-Tibetans eager to learn Tibetan Medicine.
Pema’s commitment to holistic healing has taken him to different countries and encompassed a range of health-related areas and roles. Amongst these, Pema served as a consultant doctor in a number of locations in India, taught Tibetan medicine in Austria at Tibet Centre, and authored a book on mental health based on Tibetan medicine principles. He continues to contribute to public health dialogue through his speaking engagements and articles on health care and prevention.
