Join us for a weekend immersion in Shamatha and Mahamudra Meditation. Shamatha, also known as Calm Abiding Meditation helps the mind develop stability and tranquillity. Mahamudra Meditation explores the nature of mind itself, that natural clarity and openness of our own awareness. Over two days of teachings and meditation we will have the opportunity to explore and further develop lucidity, wisdom and compassion in our contemplative practice.
This retreat will dive into exploring these practices, their differences and how they might benefit us. We will also learn how they may be integrated into daily life thus helping to reduce stress, emotional reactivity and constant mental busy-ness.
We will receive step-by-step guidance and opportunities for meditation practice along with time for questions and discussion.
Dates: Saturday & Sunday 2-3 May
Times: 9.30am-4.30pm
Location: in person @ 116 Bathurst Road, Katoomba or online via Zoom.
Cost: $100/$85 non-member/member & concession.
This retreat is suited to those who have some experience with meditation and for those who have a curiosity and willingness to explore the mind.
