
Exploring the Path allows us to get an overview of all topics of contemplation for the entire spiritual journey. It explores many of the topics that may be intriguing and challenging to the learner and those seeking a deeper understanding

9th April – Introduction to the text by His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s commentary in Illuminating the Path to Enlightenment, Three Capable Beings, Relying on a Guru
16th April – Precious Human Rebirth and Impermanence & Death
23rd April – Lower Realms, Refuge, Karma
30th April – Karma and Renunciation and Bodhichitta
7th May – Bodhichitta
14th May – Concentration and Wisdom
Time: 6.30 – 8.00pm
Cost: Full course $165/$135 non-member/member or $30/$25 non-member/member respectively.

This program is best suited to those who would like to deepen their knowledge of Buddhism. It may be taken as a package or individual sessions.

About the Teacher – Venerable Chokyi

Venerable Chokyi is a highly regarded senior Western nun in the FPMT, and has been dedicated to the dharma since 1990. She was devoted to Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche and was ordained by him in 2006. Prior to ordination she had an academic career related to indigenous affairs, and 20 years experience in the arts sector.
Since ordination, Venerable Chokyi served as Spiritual Programme Coordinator at Vajrayana Institute in Sydney for 10 years, and from 2018-22 was the resident Western teacher at Chenrezig Institute in Queensland.
Venerable Chokyi has a deep dharma knowledge, great enthusiasm for the dharma and a big heart. These attributes coupled with her life experience combine very well to bring the traditional Buddhist teachings to our western minds.
