Exploring the Mind presents the mind or consciousness, our principal means for knowing reality, with its nature, functions and divisions along with mental factors that positively or negatively impact its operation ie. what the mind is and how it works!

This is an intermediate level course and as such is best suited to those who already have some knowledge of Buddhist principles. It is an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of Buddhism and the mind.

If you are following the FPMT courses of study it is situated between Discovering Buddhism and the Basic Program levels.

Dates: Thursdays 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st July plus 14th, 21st & 28th August (Not 7th August)

Time: 6.30-8.00pm

Location: via Zoom from your venue only.

About the Teacher – Venerable Chokyi

Venerable Chokyi has been a Dharma student since 1990 and was ordained with Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche in 2006.

After ordination, Venerable Chokyi was Spiritual Program Coordinator at Vajrayana Institute, Sydney for 10 years. In 2018 she was appointed the resident western teacher at Chenrezig Institute, an FPMT Centre in Queensland. She is currently based at Hayagriva Centre, Perth.

Venerable Chokyi is a much-loved mentor to students, known for her great depth of wisdom, good humour and warm heartedness.
